My baby(guess not so much anymore) boy graduated Kindergarten!

Last week was full of wonderful things for my little man Wyatt!  On thursday he got his "diploma" for graduating kindergarten.  His teacher put together a very nice slide show and gave everyone there own copy on a disk!  Of course I had to hold back the tears while it was playing lol:)  Then on friday he got 3 awards!  He got the Dynamite Award and Reading Award for the second time this year.  He also manage to finally get the Perfect Attendance Award!  We are so proud of him.  During 3rd quarter his teacher told us it was looking as if he was going to be "placed" in 1st grade not "promoted".  Wyatt was having a hard time learning the required sight words.  So, I printed up some books to help him and really worked on it.  Mrs. Kimmey never said anything more to us about it not even at the graduation or awards.  Well....friday when he came home we looked at his report card and HE GOT PROMOTED!!!!  Yay!!  We are so incredibly proud of him not just for getting promoted but for everything!  I can't believe how fast he is growing and how much he is learning!  He sure has come a long way just from August 2010 to June 2011.  He had a wonderful teacher and he will miss her a lot.  But he already has plans to go see her when he starts school in the fall lol:)
I can't believe how fast he has grown!  It seems just like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital.  He was so small I could hold him in my hands!  Now he is more than half my height.  Tall enough to ride the big rides at Cedar Point!  Where has the time gone!:(  I will treasure every moment I have with him, Nash, and Lila!  I will enjoy every minute that I can when they are this young!

All it took was a new door!

Last week my hubby Randall finally decided to tackle the job of installing a new front door.  Let me tell you- this is a door we've had sitting in the back of the house since 2007!  It took him from 9 in the morning until probably 4 in the afternoon to do it.  He told me had he known it would take that long to do it he never would have started it lol!
Since about 2007 I have been trying to get him to do some improvements on the house.  No big hard projects just like adding an addition.  I was just looking for a new kitchen and bathroom floor. New doors, new windows, some exterior improvements.  Well...now that a list them all I guess they are big but not that hard.  This coming from a woman who won't be doing any of it so it's easy for me to say easy lol!
When I got home and saw the door I couldn't believe what a difference it made!  Not only the look of the house but the attitude of my husband.  He now has a giddy up in his hitch to do all the things to the house.  Even adding to the list of a new garage door!  He is actually excited about it!  He said "I will make this house look so good even we will still want to live here!".  Not that I don't want to live there anymore it has just gotten too small for us.  And with the decrease in value since we bought it , it has kind of been depressing.  Plus the neighbors are starting to get on our nerves(which is a whole different story)!
Our new adventure for the rest of the year will be home improvements(yay!).  I will take pictures of the progress.  I can't wait to see the outcome.  No it's not a new house but it's a new look.   Randall's ambition to finally do this has made me much happier.  I was just getting so sick of seeing the tile breaking apart.  The molding missing from the french doors.  The bedroom and bathroom doors that all are mismatched.  And all it took was for him to put in the new front door......

My little diva Lila

At first when I found out I was pregnant with Lila I was very scared.  She was definitely a surprise but quite the blessing!  So the point I'm trying to make is.......I just LOVE buying her cute things!!  I just got a pair of the cutest boots for her to wear!  Ohh I just love them!  I love trying to do different things with the little hair that she has.  However, let me tell you she HATES me even touching her hair!  She screams for a good 5 to 45 minutes after I've put into a ponytail or pigtails lol.  But she looks so stinkin' cute with her hair in them:)
This past weekend our neighbors gave us some Little People toys including a Little Peoples doll house.  As I watched her play with it I had the biggest smile on my face!  She loved playing with it so much she wanted to take it all to the sitters with her lol!
Don't get me wrong I love my boys to the moon and back!  They are my little guys that are sweet, cute, & funny.  I couldn't ask for 2 better guys in my life along with their dad:)  But any woman out there will tell you having a girl really can be fun!
I just hope & pray that I not only have a better relationship with Lila as she grows but also the boys.  I never had a good relationship(and still don't really) with my mom.  But that's a whole new blog lol!

The end of Spring Break

So Wyatt's spring break & my vacation is coming to an end.  We had such a good week makes me sad to go back.  Times like this make me wish I was able to work only part time.  But as a family unit I know what I need to do to make it work & to help take care of us.  At least #1 I have a job and am able to help us and #2 I have bankers hours:)
All of us went to Hocking Hills for 2 days.  We rented a cabin for 1 night and it was perfect.  Wyatt got a huge kick out of the hot tub!  It was nice seeing someone get use out of it.  It was Lila's first experience not in her own bed!  Soooo you can imagine how our nights sleep went...not well at all lol!  Other than that everything went awesome & I'm so happy we decided to make the trip.
Our first stop was Old Mans Cave.  We got to the bottom of the steps and there was a little creek running through.  I said to Randall make sure Lila doesn't go in the water.  The boys thought it would be fun to throw rocks in it.  Lila then decided she wanted to throw some.  As she bent forward to pick a stone up she lost her balance & there she went hands & knees into the water.  It was kinda funny especially since Randalls reply to me was "No kidding Erin do you think I'm an idiot" lol!  We were lucky enough to still have the bags in the Jeep so he was able to get her clean pants.  That was the beginning of our excursion:)
We were able to make it through Old Mans Cave and see the Upper & Lower Falls.  I've never been there when the falls actually had water.  So this was a first for me & Randall.  It was gorgeous!  The kids loved it.  Lila insisted on being Miss Independent & walk up the stairs on her own.  Took a little longer but took a load off us...especially since we our so out of shape!
Next stop was Ash Cave.  Another gorgeous site with water running down the falls!  Wyatt & Nash both managed to find the perfect sticks to make their walking sticks:)  That was super nice especially since Wyatt wanted one really bad and they cost about $20 for something we could make ourselves!
Before we headed home the next day we managed to sneak in another spot.  We picked Cedar Falls for our last one.  Again another beautiful site.  It was warm enough that Wyatt was able to wear shorts and take a little walk in the freezing water.  I was able to get some great pictures though.  But not before Nash decided he wanted to go in the water too.  So, I rolled up his pants, took off his shoes, & sent him on his way.  Of course he started heading the opposite way slipped on the wet rocks & ended up the same as Lila earlier lol!  Again we were lucky to have the bags in the Jeep since we were heading home.

All in all it was a great trip.  We all enjoyed it very much.  It is something I can't wait to do again.  It's nice to know such beautiful scenery is located in Ohio not that far from home!  Only wish we could have stayed longer:)
